Sony and their London Studios today announced details on SingStar, a unique addition to the PS3 software lineup if there ever was one. Making its debut on the PS2, the PS3 version of SingStar is packed with even more features and also lets you personalise your playlists by downloading the songs of your choice so that you can sing along to what you want, when you want. By using an in-game shop, you can customise Singstar by downloading the latest tracks and menu skins, as well as recording your SingStar performances and then uploading them to other PS3 owners. Not only will there be new songs available for download, but gamers will be able to download the entire PS2 back catalogue of songs -- over 300 songs -- to create bespoke playlists that you can save on a memory stick or the PS3 hard drive. By using the EyeToy, you can also upload photos and videos to the PSP to carry wherever you go. We'll have more information as it becomes available.
